Item 23: Receipts

Acknowledgment of receipt of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) by the prospective franchisee, signed and dated no earlier than the date on which the franchisor provided the FDD to the prospective franchisee. This receipt is typically found at the end of the FDD and serves as proof that the prospective franchisee has received the required disclosure document prior to entering into any binding agreement or making any payment to the franchisor.
